Come enjoy the bounty of the Bay…

Phillips Seafood has joined with the Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP) to bring you a menu featuring delectable oyster dishes in celebration and support of National Oyster Week 2024. Celebrate with a memorable meal – it’s a seafood holiday for oyster lovers, August 5th – 18th.

Oysters clean Chesapeake Bay waters & provide habitat for other delicious species like blue crabs, rockfish & white perch. Eating oysters & recycling their shells leads to more oysters returned to the Chesapeake Bay – one reclaimed shell becomes a home for ten times as many juvenile oysters! The ORP, the nonprofit expert in Chesapeake Bay oyster restoration, relies on Shell Recycling Alliance restaurants to provide shell critical for oyster restoration efforts.

Let’s do what Marylanders do best and support local seafood by eating and giving back to the Bay!

About the Oyster Recovery Partnership

The Oyster Recovery Partnership is a non-profit that designs, promotes and implements consensus-based, scientifically sustainable shellfish ecological restoration, aquaculture and commercial fishery activities to improve the environment and expand opportunities in the Chesapeake Bay and beyond. Oyster shell is the best natural material used to rebuild oyster reefs – and it’s in very short supply! Through the Shell Recycling Alliance, the ORP recycles this critical resource.
