Sail 250 Maryland Events

Sail250 Maryland and Airshow Baltimore has welcomed a fleet of international tall ships, historic character vessels, modern military ships and aircraft to the Baltimore Harbor to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary. Supporting festivals feature fun events, local music, food & drinks. The Airshow will take place Saturday and Sunday.

Crab Soup Cook-Off

The fan-favorite Crab Soup Cook-Off is back! Come cheer on our Phillips chef as he competes alongside other local chefs for bragging rights, a $250 charity donation, and the coveted Souper Bowl Trophy! Chefs will present their best version of Crab Soup, whether it’s Maryland-Style, Cream of Crab, Half & Half or another creative interpretation!

Crabology 101 – Become a Crab Expert!

Get all the tips you need to become an expert on Maryland’s favorite famous crustacean: the blue crab! This interactive cooking and eating experience Crabology 101 will be led by Phillips Crabologist Donald Manning. Learn all the tricks for choosing the perfect crab meat for any recipe, from premium jumbo lump to claw. Plus, enjoy trivia and prizes for all during this event!

Crab Cake Eating Contest

Who will claim the title of Baltimore’s Crab Cake Champion? Join us for the ultimate Crab Cake Eating Contest and celebrate the spirit of the harbor with bold flavor, big fun, and a showdown you won’t want to miss! Contestants will race to finish a set number of crab cakes—the fastest wins! To participate, register on-site 30 minutes prior to event start.
